The Silent Era unveils their new single, "Matter Of Time"

Hailing from London is the ever-amazing quartet of The Silent Era, and the band unveiled their big new single last Friday. Titled "Matter Of Time" it's absolutely rammed full of soaring guitar tones that can reach the upper atmosphere. Absolutely captivating and with huge percussion too! Vocally it's captivating, with ranges that can take the listener on a rollercoaster of a ride. The percussion on this is incredibly expansive, with fills that sound like they've been recorded in an arena they're so big. "Matter of Time" is a very haunting take on alt-rock, and with very distinguishable vocals drawing me in with every word it wasn't long before those aforementioned guitar tones drew me in like the curious person I am. The release features a live cover of Bauhaus's "Bela Lugosi's Dead," showcasing their tight live performances, which only enhances their sound for the casual listener. Edie Yvonne drops her cover of "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star

The ever-amazing Edie Yvonne has dropped yet another stunning cover, and this time it's a sensational rendition of "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star. The single will be released as a part of her EP titled "#covers" and will also feature her previous cover release of a classic No Doubt song. ... it's here you're reminded that she is by far one of the best young vocalists in the USA at the moment. A bit of context on this song is that at the age of 10 Edie Yvonne was invited to perform with a group of kids at the once Bootleg theater at Anna Bulbrook's Girl School festival. Kristin Kontrol invited kids to perform together with female rock legends and Edie sang "Fade Into You". Since that remarkable night, it is her go-to cover thanks to that once-in-a-lifetime game-changing experience. Camens drop their new banger, "Sleep Patterns Repeating"

The always-consistent Camens just this Froiday gone dropped their new banger, "Sleep Patterns Repeating". The latest track acts as the final track to be released from their debut album prior to it's release on the 3rd of May. ... if you're a fan of festival-ready indie tunes then head on down and sink your teeth in! If you ever needed convincing that Camens are on the cusp of something amazing then this latest offering may just be the track you need to be hooked, and what a time for them to drop it too! With the track "On The Walk from The Picturehouse" being its b-side I knew this was going to be an absolute bopper, and right from the start of the tune you're welcomed in with a vibrant guitar hook and peppy drumbeat that'll definitely get your feet tapping like you've had 10 coffees for breakfast. Faded Shades unveil their frantic new tune, "What I'm On About"

Hailing from the South East of England is the exciting trio of Faded Shades and today is the day that they return with their frantic new tune, "What I'm On About". The track follows on from their 2023 single, "My Place (Or Your Place)", and is a welcome return if I may be so bold. ... one of the best bands in their region if you ask me. The opening of the track screams to me as a big bit of 90's nostalgic rock some washing over your ears. The sound they've gone for could be described as a hazy blend of early Oasis, warm psychedelic sounds adorning the guitars and some baggy percussion sounds heard in the likes of Primal Scream. Speaking about the song the band said - " ... "What I'm on About" is a tale of a night out in Amsterdam, exploring the frayed edges of a trip and reality whilst you navigate foreign streets in a hazy state of discombobulation." Monique Angele releases her smooth new single, "Dreaming"

Coming out of Canada we have Monique Angele, and today marks the release of her smooth new single, "Dreaming". The single is her first non-festive release since her "Time Will Fall" EP came out back in 2021, but I have to tell you that it sounds like it was well worth the wait. It's one of those tracks you'll love on the first listen! A smooth piano opens things up before Monique's flawless vocals come in and as the track progresses they go from flawless to borderline angelic, as around the 40-second mark she's hitting some very high notes. Add in some soaring guitars and some alternative-sounding percussion and the track doesn't feel all too far of the likes of Radiohead in the early 2000s when that sound was all the rage. The sense of some post-punk revival tones flowing through the song like a babbling brook really got me into it more than I initially thought, and when you factor in vocals that can capture the hearts of millions it's easy
